PA system supplied for 'I Was A Cub Scout'

Tuesday 5th February saw Audiorent providing a PA system for up and coming synthpop band 'I Was A Cub Scout'. The band were playing a promotional set of songs at HMV in Lincoln before going on to do a signing session for their single 'Pink Square/Echoes'. I Was a Cub Scout are a two-man synthpop band from Long Bennington and Collingham, consisting of William Bowerman and Todd Marriott. Formed in 2006, the band has recently gained popularity through increased airplay on BBC Radio 1 and MTV 2. They are touring throughout February to promote their new single 'Pink Squares/Echoes and new album 'I want you to know that there is always hope' which has a release date of 18th February. We were given an area at the back of the store to set up in and told that crowd numbers would be around 150-200. The store was closed at 4:30pm and after a quick set up and sound check the band started at 5:30pm. We provided 2 stand mounted JBL 15" speakers powered by a Crown 402XLS amplifier, along with a JBL PRX 18' powered sub to give the show more low end kick. As requested by the band we supplied 2 powered wedge monitors with a 2 way mix. We also supplied DI boxes, drum kit mics, 2 Shure SM58 microphones with stands as well as a Soundcraft FX16 16 channel mixing desk and all outboard equipment.
Conference System Provided For Licolnshire PCT at Louth Town Hall

Audiorent.co.uk PA, AV and DJ Equipment Hire provided a four speaker conference system for a 200 person conference held by Lincolnshire NHS PCT at Louth Town Hall, Lincolnshire. The hire system consisted of four dB Arena 12 speakers powered by Crown XLS402 power amplifiers. An AKG handheld radio microphone and Sennheiser EW112 radio lapel microphone were also supplied.
